Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our First Priority. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Services

Services are held in the Schools Auditorium:

First priority is a youth organization that supports student-initiated, student-led Christian clubs on middle and high school campuses. Part of the ongoing mission of First Priority is to develop America's young people into the positive leaders of tomorrow.

The goal of First Priority is to train and equip young Christian leaders to reach out to others for Christ. First Priority challenges and provides students with opportunities, resources, and refinement to positively change their world. We want to provide the support necessary to see them succeed socially, intellectually, and spiritually.

At Harlan County High School we have the group First Priority which is for anyone and we also have a group of students on First Priority Leadership. In order to become a leader on Leadership you must fill out an application. Even if you're not on First Priority Leadership, you can still be a leader.

This Week's Sermon

This week our minister talked about the overloading of information. In a time when anything and everything is just a click away how do we take a step back and focus on the principles of our faith?

While exploring the question of “What would Jesus do?” in today’s media crazed world, the minister also reflects on the changing state of family and community over the past few decades.
