The HCHS Concert Band is conducted by Maestro Kevin Shepherd and Jeremy Bell. The band is comprised of 40+ members.  The band generally gives two concerts per year, one Winter Concert and one Spring Concert. The HCHS Concert Band recently received Distinguished Ratings at the 2016 KMEA District 10 Concert Band Assessment and hopes for the same in 2017. The band also received Proficient ratings at the 2016 State Level Concert Band Assessment. Also the band does three parades per year. These are Cumberland, Harlan, and Evarts.
