The HCHS Concert Band is conducted by Jeremy Bell. The band generally gives two concerts per year, one Winter Concert and one Spring Concert. The HCHS Concert Band received Distinguished Ratings at the 2016 KMEA District 10 Concert Band Assessment. The band also recieved Proficient ratings at the 2016 state level Concert Band Assessment. The band also does three parades per year, which are Cumberland, Harlan, and Evarts.
