The HCHS Jazz Band is the only auditioned ensemble at HCHS. We play many different styles of music including Swing, Latin, Funk, Rock, Waltz, and Jazz ballads. The ensemble has been featured at the Kentucky State Jazz assessment for several years, and continues to uphold its tradition of excellence. The HCHS Jazz Band uses a combination of 5 saxophones, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, and a rhythm section consisting of piano, bass guitar, and drum set.
