The Harlan County High School Choir's Soprano section has the highest vocal range of the other sectional members in the choir. Although, being a large group, the soprano section is very well maintained. The word "soprano" comes from the Italian word "sopra" ,which means above, as the soprano is the highest pitch human voice, often given to females. "Soprano" refers mainly to women, but it can also be applied to men. Although the choir is divided into sections, that does not stop how well we all work together.
