Service Projects
The membership of Harlan County High School National Honor Society participates in these annual service projects.

Empty Stocking Fund
The Empty Stocking Fund includes the auction, assembling food baskets, and delivering food baskets. The auction is held at Southeast Community College where members will help answer phones and deliver items. Assembling and delivering the food baskets takes place at the Social Club in Lynch.
Tri-City Easter Egg Hunt
For the Tri-City Easter egg hunt, NHS members who are helping will usually have to be there at 8:00 in the morning. Members will help with things such as: setting up the place for the eggs to be hid, hiding the eggs, and giving each person a ticket as they come in.
Food Boxes
The National Honor Society has brought a lot of different food items to help provide for our community. They have brought macaroni and cheese, corn, and many more foods. Each member is responsible for bringing a certain amount of each food.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Honor & Scholarship Night
Christ Hands
Teacher Appreciation Week
During teacher appreciation week, NHS members are responsible for bringing desserts. They put those desserts on carts and go around to each classroom in the school and offer a dessert to each teacher. This is just something little that the National Honor Society can do to show their appreciation for the teachers.
For honor and scholarship night, the National Honor Society is responsible for making the programs that are given out to the guests who come. A couple members will give out those programs as people go into the auditorium. NHS members are also the ones who introduce the people which are giving out scholarships that night.
The National Honor Society does many things that help out Christ Hands. Each individual member of the National Honor Society is responsible for bringing certain items that are useful to Christ Hands. Those items include dish washing liquid, food trays, Clorox wipes, and more.
